Two years ago Angelo and his partner travelled to Greece and had the opportunity to become “Flight Buddies” for 4 beautiful dogs that were rescued by Cause For Paws. They travelled with these dogs all the way from Athens, Greece back home to Toronto to ensure they had a better life and to help find them foster parents that will love them.

The mission of Cause 4 Paws is to relieve animal suffering and distress by helping to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home companion dogs. By doing this, they reduce the number of stray, injured, abandoned, abused, and neglected animals. Cause for Paws works with local, national and international animal groups and individuals to advocate and provide care for animals that are in distress, suffering abuse, abandoned or homeless.

Most dogs in their program are ones that were rescued from dire situations. Often they are sick or in immediate danger. They work with rescue partners in Greece as well as Russia and Mexico. They also take owner surrendered dogs from Toronto into their program.

All of the dogs rescued receive necessary medical care and are spayed or neutered. They work with the families so that the dogs are trained and rehabilitated so that they can be life long members of their family. They maintain contact with the family and provide a support system that is always available should a need arise.
